Abstract
In order to provide effective sensing and acting in Wireless Sensor and Actor Network (WSAN), a coordination mechanism is necessary among sensors and actors. This coordination can be distributed coordination among the actors or centralized coordination from a remote management unit, usually known as sink in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Energy management is affected from the architecture of WSAN, regarding which actor makes the decisions and based on what information. In this work we discuss actor selection methods that consider energy usage with different priority, based on the application.
