Abstract
The design aspects of a high performance laser range finder capable of ranging targets up to 20 km with /spl plusmn/5 in accuracy are presented. The system features a forced air-cooled 5 Hz Nd:YAG laser transmitter and a 110 mm aperture optical receiver with threshold detection.
