Abstract :
In this paper, we investigate the scattering uniformity of metal space frame (MSF) radome using an improved iterative scattering algorithm. In order to study the scattering of crossed cylinders in frame, electromagnetic (EM) waves are decomposed into series of cylindrical harmonic functions. The parallel polarization and vertical polarization electric fields related to single cylinder are derived in detail. With the boundary condition applied, the relationship between incident and scattering fields is obtained. Based on this relationship, iterative scattering algorithm is used to deal with complex coupling field among the cylinders of MSF radome. In the end, the scattering uniformity of MSF radome is analysed using the proposed method. The simulated and test results are compared to validate the veracity of the proposed theory.
