Abstract :
For current vertical switching technologies generally cannot support vertical handover in heterogeneous networks, the paper make a improving that the vertical handover algorithm based on Bayesian decision. First, according to the signal strength of access network, network load, bit error rate, and the blocking probability and the actual user traffic demand on the network and the preferences of user to establish mobility handover probability distribution associated of multi-condition to calculate the handover prior probability; then through the Bias decision algorithm to calculate the posterior probability for select the optimal network access. Simulation results shown that the algorithm not only effectively achieve vertical handover among WLAN, WiMAX and LTE wireless access technologies, but also avoid the “ping-pong” effect, improve handover success probability, maximize interests of users and provide high-quality service guarantee.
