Abstract
The design and analysis of large antenna arrays bring great challenges for conventional numerical methods in computational electromagnetics. An efficient dual-primal finite element tearing and interconnecting (FETI-DP) method is proposed to deal with these challenges. It significantly improves the analysis efficiency by exploiting the geometrical repetitiveness of antenna arrays, and adopts a high order transmission condition to speedup the iterative convergence. A hierarchical (ℋ-) matrix algorithm based on the nested dissection technique is introduced to futher reduce the computational costs of the FETI-DP. Numerical experiments will demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
