Abstract
In this paper a new servo drive system for controlling permanent magnet linear synchronous motor is designed. In the design process, a special space vector modulation technique is applied to obtain a robust system against load disturbance. It also minimizes the current total harmonic distortion in the motor. A desirable and fast drive system with high quality speed tracking is proposed. Simulation results provide a reference frame for software and hardware design which can be implemented in elevators, automations and other linear applications.
