Abstract :
Motion retargeting technology has been widely used in the production of animated cartoon and human-computer interaction. In this paper, a Space-Time constraints-based motion retargeting framework is proposed. For the given captured motion data, we firstly initialized the root position based on the difference between original and target character, then we fixed the degree of freedom of the corresponding joints to avoid some unreasonable phenomena by taking consideration of terminal effector constraints. Experiment results demonstrated the effectiveness and accuracy of our motion retargeting method.
