Abstract
In this paper, we numerically study on a three-dimensional laminar natural convection in a hermetic chamber with three layer discrete heat sources on both sidewalls. Five group experiments are designed to investigate the development of transient temperature and velocity fields by changing the temperature of discrete heaters on the condition of the same total temperature. Numerical results demonstrate a reasonable low-temperature on the top while high-temperature on the bottom in a certain range can improve the uniformity of the temperature field earlier. The conclusions obtained in this paper have a directive function for the design of environmental temperature-control system.
