Abstract
The endoscopic-assisted neck minimally invasive thyroid surgery is one of the main directions of development of thyroid surgery in recent years. To retrospectively analyze clinical data of 402 cases (327 women and 75 men with a mean age of 44 years) of endoscopic-assisted neck minimally invasive radical operation of thyroid cancer in The First Hospital of Jilin University in China from January, 2007 to May, 2015. The operation was performed under general anesthesia and tracheal intubation, and the Miccoli´s technique was performed during the surgery. 381 patients were successfully operated by endoscopic-assisted neck minimally invasive radical operation of thyroid cancer. 21 cases transferred to open surgery because of extensive adhesion of tumor or uncontrollable bleeding. All cases had no postoperative bleeding or infection. Normal endocrine suppression therapy were offered after operation and some patients were undergone the treatment of I131. The whole group were followed up for 1 to 36 months, no recurrences happened. Endoscopic-assisted neck minimally invasive radical operation of differentiated thyroid cancer is a practical, low invasive surgery, which has advantages of safety, reliability, less bleeding, less pain, shorter hospital stay, fewer complications and relative cosmetic results. On the basis of mastering certain skills, it has better clinical effects and brighter application prospect.
