Application of CDIO Teaching Mode for Computer Software Courses

This paper analyzed the drawbacks of traditional teaching mode for software courses such as not closely integrated the theory with the practice, a weak practical ability and self-learning ability of students. To solve this problem, the teaching mode of CDIO (Conceive, Design, Implement and Operate) was applied to the teaching of computer software courses. First, we explained the ideas and requirements briefly of the CDIO teaching mode, and then guidance by the idea of "learning by doing" of CDIO, teaching methods and teaching mode was reformed for software courses. The experiments show that this method is effective and can improve selflearning ability, teamwork ability and engineering practice ability for students.
