Application of Web Based Course on Case Based Learning in Prosthodontics Teaching

In order to evaluate the results of Web Based Course on Case Based Learning (CBL) in the Prosthodontics Teaching. In the study, web based prosthodontics course with CBL method was applied to a group of students. And prosthodontics course with traditional teaching method was applied to another group of students. After the course, a questionnaire and an exam were fulfilled by each student. The questionnaire also included the participants attitudes toward the challenges through Web Based CBL course and the suggestion of the education reform.The results showed that there was statistically significant difference on the average scores between 2 groups of students (p<;0.05). The average scores of web based course on CBL (87.1 ± 3.87) is statistically significant higher than those of the traditional teaching method (81.3±4.11). In a word, the web based CBL course showed advanced and scientific advantages in prosthodontics teaching.
