Abstract :
As various institutions´ information management systems rely on heterogeneous data, these systems normally cannot share data inducing many information islands. In order to integrate various information management systems, a metadata-based data modeling and integration solution is proposed. First, we established a technical metadata model based on Shandong University information system platform, and built the business metadata model from other individual subservice systems. Second, we constructed business model and abstracted data integration operation into platform-independent model. XML was adopted to describe the details and contents, Additionally, MDA was leveraged to reduce the operating difficulty and improve the reusability. The proposed framework was implemented with Java EE. Experiments show that the proposed framework can efficiently integrate heterogeneous data.
