    The application of multimedia technology in English language teaching is an important theoretical and practical issue. In this paper, the rational proposals have been paid attention to in the application of using multimedia technology in English language teaching based on the problems of present situation of college English language teaching, in order to improve the teaching quality and effect of English linguistics course in universities.
