Abstract :
People favor network distance education because this education is not restricted to time and place, besides it develops rapidly in recent years. While there is no denying that network distance education exists the shortcoming of the separation between teachers and students. So how to guarantee teachers and students´ communication in real-time in the network distance education activities so that students could solve problems and confusions timely, meanwhile how to guarantee teachers´ effect which gives full play to "teaching by personal example as well as verbal instruction" is one of the bottleneck problems for further development of network remote education. The technologies of bambuser and electronic whiteboard which based on streaming media in multimedia technology could appropriately satisfy the real-time need in the network remote education, moreover, the technologies are one of the most effective methods to solve the above problems. According to all of these, the text analyzes the implementation rationale of multimedia and the merits of the application in the network distance education, furthermore, the text also adopts accountancy in the network distance education as a real model to study specific methods about multimedia in the network distance education.
