3P Strategy Based on Vocabulary Memorization Model

Given the importance of mastering the large vocabularies in English study, 3P strategy based on vocabulary memorization model is investigated in this paper to help students enlarge the vocabulary information retention and promote their vocabulary memorization. Students´ study process has been divided into three stages according to 3P strategy: plural stimulus, visual and audial, is the first stage to help students store the words through multi-angles: eyes, ears and mouths, polymeric support, collocations and uses of the words, is the second stage to trigger the longer memory of students, perpetual storage, speaking and writing practice, is the last stage to activate the storage of the words in the long-term memory, and the study based on 3P strategy shows that this strategy improves students´ vocabulary memorization greatly and enables their awareness of how they can memorize vocabularies effectively.
