Abstract :
In this work we will use phantom data to do a first evaluation of the anticipated benefits of count-rate dependent version of CBN (CRD-CBN) with patient evaluation planned in the near future. CRD-CBN was recently implemented as part of the HRRT Users Software expecting it to yield a reduction of artifacts in cases where there are large differences in count-rates between the normalization and the emission data being reconstructed as it is often the case in dynamic protocols. We expect quantification (ROI averages) to be preserved as the main artifact reduced by CRD-CBN is noise.
