Abstract :
A new compensation scheme for four circuit perfect transposed parallel transmission line is proposed in this paper. The new scheme utilizes a neutral reactor to decrease the secondary arc current and limit the recovery voltage. The results by PSCAD show that the secondary arc current and recovery voltage can be limited to a low level. Hence, the application of the proposed compensation scheme can increase power system stability.
