Abstract :
In traditional model prediction based optimal voltage control method, the control horizon and prediction horizon parameters need to be determined offline using experience or enumeration, and keep constant during the whole optimization process, which may cause negative influence to the control performance. Aiming at this problem, an adaptive model prediction based optimal coordinated voltage control scheme is proposed focusing on the mid-long term voltage stability problem. The prediction horizon and the evaluation target node are firstly determined based on the predicted system trajectory. Considering the control rate constraint, the maximum voltage recovery amount with the current optimization steps is evaluated according the voltage response feature, based on which the voltage regulation limit index is formulated. The control horizon parameter is then determined according to the voltage regulation limit index, which is able to adjust itself according to the system operating state during the optimization process. The validation and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by the simulation results of the New England 39-node system.
