Abstract :
In the modern power grid, the dynamic rating technology of transmission line has been drawing more and more attention. Through on-line monitoring devices installed on transmission lines, the conductor temperature, environment temperature, wire current and sunshine intensity are monitored in real-time, which provides solid theoretical basis of raising line short-term transmission capacity developing dynamic rating system can effectively and safely raise short-term transmission capacity of transmission lines, to satisfy the demands for power supply under emergency. By the analysis of the principle, structure, and functions of transmission line dynamic rating system. The risk aversion strategy are derived based on the simulated research and Held test data to improve the ampacity. The proposed method such as safety current under the limited time and safety operation time under the limited current provide feasible measures for dynamic rating of transmission lines.
