Abstract :
With different load and weather conditions, the output characteristics of photovoltaic (PV) cells are various. There is no precise mathematical model of PV cells. To make full use of PV cells, the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is a necessary unit in PV system. This paper proposes a novel MPPT controller based on the combination of fuzzy control method and sliding control method. Compared only with fuzzy controller and sliding controller, the proposed controller has more advantages, such as fast response speed, strong anti-interference, strong robustness, and a higher stability, etc. The advantages of the proposed controller have been verified by simulation in the Matlab.
