Abstract :
This paper proposes an efficiency-based current distribution scheme to improve the overall efficiency of PV parallel converters with asymmetric circuit parameters. At the beginning, an efficiency optimization model with explicit objective function and restrictions is built based on the analysis of common efficiency model of DC/DC converters. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm with inertia weights is used to solve the efficiency optimization model, which determines the optimal phase current of parallel converters. Furthermore, a linear interpolation method is used to obtain continuous target value of optimal phase current. Case study demonstrates the validity of the proposed current distribution scheme for PV parallel converters with asymmetric circuit parameters.
