Research and discussion on electric vehicles charging cable testing methods in different standard systems

With the increasing use of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) which has environmental and economic benefit, some institutes have published some standards to verify the quality of electric vehicles cables. However, these standard systems have some differences confusing the industry manufacture and customs. In this article, some similar and difference are founded and discussed in order to clarify the test detail in UL and TUV electric vehicles charging cable standards. The test methods of PEV cables are stated clearly to help cable industry produce and inspect useful electric vehicles cables.
