Abstract :
A microstrip patch antenna operating at Wi-Fi and WiMAX frequencies has been proposed. The fabricated antenna operates at 3.6 GHz and 5.3 GHz. The proposed antenna has a size of 25 mm×24 mm×1.27 mm and is suitable for compact wireless devices applications. The antenna is fabricated on a substrate having dielectric constant of 10.2 and loss tangent 0.002. Resonance at the desired frequencies are obtained by removing the diagonal edges of the patch and the impedance matching is achieved by providing offset feed.
