Abstract :
In this paper, we propose and evaluate a method to reproduce a highly realistic acoustic sound field of the Gion festival music with 16ch head-enclosed loudspeaker-array. Digital archive has been attracted attention to preserve and reproduce culture heritages. We focused on the digital archive of the Gion festival which is cultural heritage. We have tried to reproduce the Gion festival music by utilizing a web system for small-scale exhibitions. It is however difficult to present higher LEV (listener envelopment) which is important for highly realistic acoustic sound field reproduction in this system. To solve this problem, we experimentally produced a 16ch head-enclosed loudspeaker-array to present LEV. In addition, we confirmed effectiveness of the proposed method by subjective experiments based on MOS (mean opinion score).
