A System of Hand Interface Based on Kinect Data

This paper presents a method of recognizing hand gestures using information from Microsoft´s Kinect. To recognize the hand, firstly we detect the hand using color values. After we detect the hand, we perform preprocessing to reduce noise. For thisprocessing, we save information about the hand coordinates. Through hand moving, this system checks how to move the hand. Following the hand coordinates, we set events. This system can recognize four gestures.
