Abstract :
All the domain and vertical applications are scaled up to the Big Data applications because of the volume, variety, velocity of growing real time data. This necessitates the streamlining and alteration in the business processes, software development methodologies, infrastructure of distributed parallel processing, data modeling, data analysis, applications, services as well on the testing. The traditional development and testing strategies are becoming obsolete and not able to co-op with the current need of Big Data applications. This paper discusses the requirement-challenges of testing for big data software development, limitation of the existing test practices, propose a new test factory model for Big Data with test strategies, testing tools, test platform, test principles, matrices of testing.
