Abstract
The growing penetration of distributed generation (DG) power plants into distribution networks causes several issues concerning, e.g., stability, protection equipment, and voltage variations. One of the main topics is steady state voltage rise because of DG´s active power injection. This paper presents a detail analysis of how does voltage rise on distribution network due to the penetration of DG and reviewed some related recent papers that analyzes voltage control problem. Also in this paper, a novel method is proposed to control voltage in distribution network that includes both local and coordinated reactive power control. To verify validity of suggested strategy, a real medium voltage network is considered and task of controlling voltage is provided with mathematical formula in different situations.
