Abstract
A novel velocity-matched distributed balanced photodetector has been experimentally demonstrated and optimized for RF photonic application. Record high linear DC photocurrent of 45 mA and 43 dB suppression of laser relative intensity noise (RIN) over a broad frequency range have been achieved
