Abstract :
In this paper, the aim is to practically implement the three-phase motor speed control in three ways: conventional PID, supervisory fuzzy PID and fractional order PID control. The fuzzy system is designed in such a way to change the PID coefficients in order to generate a proper control signal. The output of controllers enters the frequency inverter. Using constant V/f control, the three phase voltage is generated and then applied to the motor. In this study, first the simulation test has been performed. The results showed that the speed of motor was properly controlled while the current and flux of motor stayed in their nominal range. Then, the practical test has been done in which a frequency inverter, data acquisition card, tachogenerator and computer were used. The results showed that the diagram of speed in both simulation and practical tests were the same and controllers were able to keep the speed of motor in the reference speed. According to the experiment result, in the presence of environmental noises, conventional PID cannot regulate the speed of motor properly in compared with two others. FOPID can better and more rapidly stabilize the speed of motor than fuzzy PID.
