Abstract :
In this paper I discuss various approaches that have been taken to create a rich and convincing historical reconstruction using the digital tools available to us today. I summarize examples of projects undertaken recently by archaeologists, architects and historians in the field of historical reconstruction. This research has provided useful insights into the methodology and the critical issues of ´appropriate´ interpretation and representation of archaeological data and findings. In other words, this study considers the technical, methodological and theoretical issues in the creation of historical reconstruction, the ´how´ of historical virtual architectural reconstruction
