Abstract :
We experimented with an interactive video conference with West Virginia University, Softopia Japan, VR Technoplaza and Gifu University using ATM networks: JGN, Gifu Superhighway, APAN, GEMnet, and abilene. In video conference with multiple sites, the wide bandwidth means sites have to be increased. In the case of movie data it has to be transmitted via several networks. If there is low bandwidth in these networks, we save bandwidth. Therefore we gather movie data from multiple sites, transmitting division by 4 size to multiple sites, receiving normal size from multiple sites. We describe an outline of our experiments and the mechanism of this experiment
