Abstract :
Angkutan Kota (angkot) is one of public transport that often used by citizen in Bandung. But, there´s still a lot of citizen that use private vehicle instead of using public transportation like angkot. This is due to the services provided by public transport hasn´t been satisfactory. Therefore, to improve the service of angkot, angkot´s payment system should be improved by making a payment standard that will be made in electronic payment system for angkot. The system design offered is by making electronic payment system based on microcontroller that reads passenger´s ID in the form of NFC Card when passenger get on and drop off the angkot. The fare calculated based on distance that measured by accumulating the fare every time angkot passes through checkpoint areas that read by infrared receiver. The design then being implemented by the prototype that already made a system that being able to calculate passenger´s fare, cut passenger balances, detect checkpoint areas, show transaction log and accumulated driver´s revenue.
