Abstract :
This paper presents a resonant type triple-band micro-strip U-slotted patch antenna with compact size. This is realized by using an L-slot loaded ground and U-slotted Patch antenna. A triple band antenna design is presented for antenna miniaturization at Wi-MAX/WLAN applications at 3.5 GHz (Wi-MAX) and 5.8 GHz and 7.5 GHz (WLAN) using L-slot defected ground structure (DGS) and U-slotted patch antenna. By adjusting the geometries and the sizes of these U-slot and L-slot structure, three different resonance modes can be effectively created for three distinct frequency bands; respectively. The antenna was designed using CST V.12 simulator.
