Abstract
Presents a methodology to synthesize asymptotic observers and controllers in discrete event systems (DES) using stability concepts. The approach is based mainly on the definition of the error Petri nets and on the study of the sequences reaching the zero marking in these nets. This hugely simplifies the process of designing observers and controllers
