Abstract :
Energy Harvesting is gaining more attention nowadays due to the urge to have self-powered systems. the biggest challenge when designing the system is having a control unit that does not consume too much power as well as capable of providing a stable and accurate performance. In this work, 2 different implementation approaches for the same control unit logic are investigated and compared to each other to help highlight the advantages of each. All the simulations are done using Cadence Virtuoso Custom IC design tool; the technology used is TSMC 65nm.
