Abstract
This paper deals an integrated maintenance strategy for a manufacturing system subjected to a random failure and calling up on two subcontractor machines. The production system composed by a single machine in order to satisfy a random demand during a finite horizon, under service level. That´s why it called upon another subcontracting machine. In order to assure an efficiency economical objective, we have a switching choice between two subcontractors having some different data of reliability and cost production. An analytical study showed that the switching choice of the subcontractor machine is trained by the subcontracting availability. The objective of this study is to determine an optimal production plans of principal and subcontracting machines for forecasting demand, which minimizes the total production and inventory cost under a fixed service level and subcontracting constraints. A numerical example confirms the analytical results.
