Abstract :
The first of a series of multi-vendor interoperability testing activities based on the Common Information Model (CIM) from the EPRI CCAPI and IEC TC57 WG13 standardization effort took place on December 18 and 19 of 2001 in Orlando, Florida, USA. The result of this first test was reported at the 2001 IDES Winter Power meeting. The tests are designed to validate that various products from different vendors can interoperate based on the use of the IEC standards that have been developed as a result of work done in the CCAPI Task Force and OMG Utility Domain Task Force. This paper discusses the results of the tests completed at the time of the presentation, as well as the plan for future tests.
