Abstract
The research and development of superconducting machines in Korea started from the early 1980s. In spite of short research periods, various kinds of superconducting machines have been developed such as high field intensity magnets, SMES, AC generators, transformers, current limiters, FWES, and MRI magnets. Recently decided governmental long-term support and price reduction of BSCCO wire will accelerate superconducting machine development in Korea
