Abstract
The reasoning behind this study is that ICTs are now an important development factor for almost all the countries around the world. In this context, the UN reports on ICT as an enabler to achieve Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has laid a strong emphasis on how ICTs and broadband can lead to a low carbon economy, improve health care, driving towards smarter education, enhancing transparency and accountability in government services, alleviating poverty, assisting in creating peace/justice/social inclusion and minimising environmental risks, etc. In this paper, the use of Future Techniques is deeply applied to assess the impact of ICTs on two key sustainable areas that is of interest to African and developing countries, namely education and Health. The outcome of this study is to develop scenarios and relevant framework in the areas of ICTs for Health and Education to facilitate policy makers in solving sustainability issues.
