Abstract :
On Sep. 9th 1999, the 400 MW evaporation-cooling hydrogenerator of Lijiaxia power plant was put to use in the Chinese power system. This is the milestone of the 40 years´ development of evaporation-cooling technology. As the largest evaporation-cooled generator, data from the commission test and operation record are analyzed in this paper. Advantages of evaporation-cooling technology over traditional cooling technology would be proved through these analyses
