  • Abstract
Capacitor induction motors (CRM) are widely used in electrical appliances. In order to suppress electromagnetic vibrations of the CRM, the squirrel-cage rotor slots are usually skewed. However, the effects of skewed slot on electromagnetic vibrations caused by a time-harmonic voltage included in the distorted voltage have not been clarified. In this paper, the effects of skewed slots on the dominant electromagnetic vibration of a CRM operating under distorted voltages are studied from both theoretical and experimental viewpoints
