Abstract
The design of a wideband aperture coupled log periodic dielectric resonator antenna array is investigated for X band application. Aperture coupled feeding is used in this design to minimize losses. The proposed design uses five cylindrical elements and shows a wide bandwidth of about 36%, covering the frequency range 9.23 GHz to 13.23 GHz with a peak gain of 9.28 dBi. Parametric study for bandwidths comparison of different number of elements has also been presented in this paper.
