Abstract :
In this paper, a bi-directional multilayer inductor with high quality factor and inductance is proposed. The proposed multilayer inductor is designed and simulated using High Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS). Bi-directional multilayer inductor shows 30% improvement in terms of inductance and 40% improvement in terms of quality factor w.r.t standard multi-layer inductor and occupies on-chip area of 100μm×100μm suitable for RF applications.
