Abstract :
This paper describes the design and analysis, of permanent magnet brushless servomotor used for In-service Inspection of Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor. The application demands high torque and low inertia, and a Brushless servomotor is designed to meet these requirement specifications. The paper presents finite element modeling, lumped parameter thermal analysis and coupled electromagnetic and thermal analysis of the designed motor. The results are analyzed to validate the effectiveness of design prior to the construction of prototype.
