Abstract :
Peak-to-Average-Power- Ratio is regarded as one of the major drawback for multi-carrier communication. The existence of high peaks in the transmitted OFDM signal causes an enhancement in the bit-error-rate of the system due to the non-linear nature of power amplifiers. High PAPR is still a demanding issue and hence requires a lot of attention. In this paper a novel Hybrid technique of OVSF and Discrete Cosine Transform is used for the reduction of PAPR in Orthogonal Variable Spreading Factor based Orthogonal Space Time Block Coded OFDM system. Simulation results show that proposed Hybrid technique provides significant reduction in PAPR as compared to existing techniques, while maintaining low computational complexity. The CCDF curves depict that the performance of the proposed OFDM system is better than conventional OFDM systems.
