Abstract :
The three-dimensional electric field inside a 3-phase common enclosure SF6 GIS was calculated by the finite element method. From the calculating results the electric field distribution on the surface of the porcelain pole type insulator and disc type insulator were derived. To be associated with the calculating results an experimental research was taken and the breakdown voltage was measured
