  • Abstract
Continuous measurement of blood pressure is much needed for personal health care and it becomes the most critical parameter in accessing conditions of heart related patients. Currently there are instruments which are based on cuff but unfortunately, they cannot provide continuous monitoring of blood pressure due to its design limitations. Due to recent advancement in technologies, instruments which do not rely on doctors for regular monitoring are also developed but they have a limitation in error rate. As continuous ECG and PPG monitoring is required for heart related patients, we propose a novel approach to calculate a continuous variation in Blood Pressure using Bernoulli principle. We have analyzed HRV variation of ECG, PPG and PTT and based on this analysis we have proposed an approach to determine the variation in blood pressure. We have tested the method on 20 subjects volunteered and found that this method is significant in determining diastolic pressure and systolic pressure efficiently.
