Abstract :
Total Pressure and Stock Level in the headbox of a paper machine control the quality of paper produced and cross directional flow at the slice. Thus, these are the important parameters to be controlled. With the advancement in artificial intelligence, mathematical approaches that demand high degree of precision has been avoided by using the best estimates in the research work. Soft computing technique i.e. fuzzy logic is used in this paper and the simulation results are compared with classical PID controller.
