  • Abstract
Power Electronics is essential in almost most of the modern renewable energy generation in order to enhance the efficiency of the generation. Converters are used as an interface between load and PV panels particularly for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). This paper introduces the reliability model of solar PV generation system not only on the physical characteristics but on the simulated operating points. The reliability evaluation of MPPT based solar system using Military handbook MIL-HDBK-217F considering the operating temperature of IGBT is presented. The novel method based on calculation of average MPPT for a particular profile is presented in this paper which can be used for design of reliable PV generation of suitable component ratings.
