Abstract :
This paper presents ant lion optimization method for multi-objective optimum generation scheduling problem (MOGS) in various test power systems. Ant Lion Optimization (ALO) is a novel meta-heuristic motivated by hunting mechanism of ant lions in nature. Diverse emission gases considered for the case studies are SOx, NOx and COx. The proposed technique is applied on different test systems for solving the MOGS. Comparison of the obtained results is carried out with other techniques stated in literature which shows that ALO is effective to solve MOGS.
